12:45 a.m.
Yipee! The police nabbed the looters! Ben went on guard duty and found a car driving back and forth on the street, honking as it went by our house, as if trying to alert someone. The police showed up immediately with three cars and a dog! Totally awesome! They got three guys that were already inside! I hope they throw the book at them.

Just read about the looting at KUTV.com and I was angry, too! So I scurried over here and got even more angry when I read that they knocked things over and created even more of a mess. *grrr*
Most of the time when news agencies reveal the names of people arrested, I just don't care. Because I don't know them. But today, because it was one step closer to me than usual, I thought, "Yeah! I hope those people are totally humiliated by having their mug shot and name appear on the news, on the website, and in the paper." Because alas, I know they aren't going to get much jail time.
I'm glad the police responded so quickly, and with a dog. I know they can't just sit outside the house, but their response time almost makes it seem like the did! :)
