Next, it is completely unnecessary to do the following, and probably a complete waste of perfectly good money that could be spent on something like carpeting and paint, but Dad has been trying to insulate those basement walls for 30 years and BY GEORGE! he can never complain about it again! And yes, all insulated foundations are wearing pink this season. We're told it's the hottest thing on the runways in New York.

This is the basement windows' version of eyelash implants. They look so natural, and that artsy aluminum look is totally in fashion.



Mom has been wandering around mumbling to herself for WEEKS because they're coming to take away all the rented things on Monday and we have to have it all ready to go, and replacements set to put in place, and DID I MENTION THEY"RE TAKING AWAY ALL THE FURNITURE ON MONDAY? In case you were wondering, that's next Monday. T-minus-5 and counting. We may survive, or we may die under an avalanche of apple boxes. Stay tuned!

FINALLY!
We waited THREE WEEKS for these little wire pokey things to arrive:



Finally they came in last night, and the foundation guys worked all afternoon putting up the forms for the foundation.



The forms are the guides into which they pour the concrete.
